DATA CAPTURING AND ANALYSIS (DCA)
The main purpose of the DCA unit is to collect, capture and analyse data accurately and efficiently for our clients. Our focus is the production of complete and accurate data: - for this will greatly affect the statistical conclusions from the data analyses. The main software package we use for our data capturing and verification is the Census and Survey Processing System (CSPro). For data cleaning and analysis we use SPSS version 20+ or STATA version 12.

2014 - NIMSS Data Collection and Capturing in Gauteng and Mpumalanga Province.
University of South Africa (Unisa).
The National Injury Mortality Surveillance System (NIMSS) is a South African Medical Research Council (MRC) and Unisa project. The main purpose of the project is to provide “access to NIMSS data to anyone who needs information on injury magnitude and patterns in South Africa”. UCS was contracted by Unisa to collect and capture epidemiological data from Forensic Pathology Services (FPS) in Gauteng and Mpumalanga Provinces.
Client was impressed with quality of work and awarded DCS further projects.
2014 - Data Collection for the Rural Safety Project Survey.
Gauteng Department of Community Safety (DCS)
The aim of the survey is to explore the prevalence of crime and violence in rural and farming communities with Gauteng Province. UCS was commissioned to collect survey data from rural/farm experts, police, farmers and farm workers.
Client was impressed with quality of work and promised DCS further projects.
